ABOUT THE Stephen’s Green Hotel IN DUBLIN

  • about us 800x450 About Us
The Stephens Green Hotel was the fourth and last O’Callaghan Hotel in Dublin. The sumptuous 4-star hotel offers stylish, modern interior design focused on guest comfort and convenience while old world charm adds substance to this luxurious hotel in the center of Dublin. This hotel has to be the most accessible hotel in Dublin for business and shopping trips to the city and south side suburbs as it is closely situated to any kind of public transport and most city sights are within easy walking distance. Enjoy the blend of modern and historical accents with the hotel comprising two magnificently restored Georgian buildings, and a beautiful glass atrium that works for the special and urban appearance of the hotel. These Georgian buildings are of cultural importance to Ireland and makes our Stephen’s Green Hotel a part of it. One of both houses was home to the great Irish playwright, George Fitzmaurice, while 4 Harcourt Street was the birthplace of Lord Edward Carson, one of the founders of Northern Ireland and a central figure in Ireland’s Unionism movement. Entering through the tasteful reception area, guests will be struck by colourful details and the stunning glass atrium, filling the lobby with natural daylight and overlooking the idyllic Stephen’s Green Park. The stylish interior design throughout the hotel, with wood panelling and soft leather furnishings sitting alongside Georgian stucco ceilings beautifully showcases the fusion of old and new. Located on the first floor, the never expected Georgian library has a charming antique feel, where you can sit in 19th century surrounds, featuring open fireplaces and chandeliers – an ideal way to unwind over a pre-dinner drink or use as a break out area for meetings. The Stephens Green Hotel is a delight to enjoy as it combines modern luxury with old-world Irish charm. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel of many stories and show you around. Dublin’s best shopping is on the hotel’s doorstep in Grafton Street, Stephens Green Shopping Centre, and Powerscourt Townhouse to name a few. An added benefit for business is that the LUAS green line station at St Stephens Green is across the road from the hotel and will take guests to Sandyford, Dundrum and all stops along that line.
